John & Mary - Trust

John and Mary decided to set up an estate plan through a Trust that would insure the future for their four children, as well as fulfilling their desire to be faithful stewards through charitable giving.

JOHN: "We set up a trust because my wife was worried, wondering what she would do if something happens to me," "We still have four children (a daughter has gone home to be with Jesus) and decided to plan as if we still had five, and name that fifth child 'Charity. Our estate will be divided, through a trust, between the five."

MARY: "Our kids will benefit from this family trust over a period of time we determined, a plan we believe is best for them."

Since the Trust provides for Mary, the future of his children and is set up to manage financial affairs, both John and Mary enjoy peace of mind. Careful plans were made in a timely fashion with trust officers who know tax law and are prepared to both set up beneficial plans and to manage them over the coming years.

When speaking about Hope Haven, John said, "We support this ministry because it's a wonderful work that does what the Lord requires of us. It is well-managed. Money goes directly to meet needs, nothing is wasted, nobody in management ever does anything for themselves but they only work to meet the needs of others."

John concludes: "The Bible doesn't say when we get to heaven we'll be asked 'what church did you go to?' It says: 'what did you do for the least of these: the poor, the prisoner, those with special needs.'"
